Soraya Benchikh

Soraya Benchikh is the Managing Director for Diageo in Northern Europe (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Poland). Soraya is a highly accomplished international corporate entrepreneur with a proven track record spanning over 25 years during which she has held a wide variety of roles in finance and general management.

Before taking up this current position in July 2020 she was the Chief Executive of the East and Southern Africa Area for British American Tobacco, and had previously served as the President of BAT France, after having held several senior Finance roles including European Regional Finance Director and Finance Director roles in Russia, France and Egypt.

She successfully progressed through a range of diverse local, regional and global assignments requiring adaptability to new situations, cultures, and teams to operate in both emerging and mature environments in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

She was able through her superior business acumen and bold leadership to continuously deliver exceptional growth and efficiency across many businesses.

Soraya is a French and Lebanese national and lives with her husband and son in Germany.

Rachel is the global Head of Diversity and Inclusion for Maersk, a global transportation and logistics company. Rachel is British and has had over 15 years of experience in Diversity and Inclusion. Her career has enabled her to spend 4 years living and working in South Africa where she was Head of Organisational Culture for the Standard Bank Group and nearly 3 years living and working in Denmark for her current role. Her past experience spans across the Financial Services Industry, Telecommunications Industry and as a lay member on the Equality and Diversity Committee for the Bar Standards Board. Rachel is currently a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the New Equality and Inclusion Agenda.

Rachel started her career in finance and has a first-class BA Honours in Accounting and Finance and was presented with a social science faculty award upon graduation.

Rachel is now living in the UK with her husband and son and in her spare time is a keen runner and kick-boxer.
