Polar Explorer and Climate Scientist

Felicity Aston is a British climate scientist turned polar explorer who has led record-making international women’s teams of mostly novices to the South Pole in 2009 and the North Pole in 2018. In 2012 she became the first woman to ski alone across Antarctica, a 59-day, 1744km expedition that earned her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. She has been awarded the Polar Medal by Queen Elizabeth II and is a Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society in London and The Explorers Club in New York.
